This evening is built around real experience, applied research, and open producer discussion. Keegan Miller will kick things off with a practical look at cover crops, soil function, and how producers are using diversity to improve resilience and profitability in their systems. Lance Ouellette, Research Scientist with LARA, will walk through OFCAF funding, outlining available programs, eligible practices, and how producers can access funding to support on-farm projects. Wrapping up the night, Nick Kunec, a local producer, will share his firsthand experience using virtual fencing on his operation — what’s working, what surprised him, and how it’s changed his grazing management. Dinner is provided, with plenty of time for questions, discussion, and connecting with other local producers.
